Tembo Nickel Appoints Country Manager to Advance Kabanga Development
[Dodoma, London, 4 August, 2021], Tembo Nickel Corporation (“Tembo”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Benedict Busunzu as Country Manager for Tanzania. In this newly created role, Mr Busunzu will oversee the development of the Kabanga Nickel Project (“the Project”) in Tanzania at a local level.
Mr Busunzu, a Tanzanian citizen, has extensive experience managing mining operations, having spent over twelve years working in senior roles within the industry, ten of which were spent working in Tanzania. Prior to joining Tembo Nickel, Mr Busunzu was the General Manager for Twiga Minerals Corporation (Barrick Gold Corporation’s partnership with the Government of Tanzania), where he oversaw the Bulyanhulu and Buzwagi Mines.

Mr Busunzu will lead the site and community relations teams that have been mobilised, and will focus efforts on site refurbishments to enable full scale development activities to follow.
